Woodruff, SC (October 29, 2022) – On Friday, October 28, near Woodruff, a significant accident that involved many vehicles forced the closure of several lanes of I-85.
Close to around 7:30 a.m., a collision occurred at the junction of northbound I-85 at Highway 101, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Troopers said that moderate to severe injuries had been reported, but they have no information regarding the victims. Even though there was a reported spill from a semi-truck, the material was eventually controlled and mitigated before being cleaned from the roadway.
Officials said that the area was still blocked many hours later.
Authorities have reportedly begun investigating the collision but have not released their findings. The current conditions of the injured victims also remain unknown.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims involved in Friday’s crash, and we hope for their full recovery at this time.
