Wellford, SC – Child Killed in Two-Vehicle Collision at Little Mountain & Hampton Rd

Wellford, SC (December 5, 2021) – A 10-year-old died following a traffic accident in the Wellford area on Saturday afternoon, December 4. Local sources revealed that the deadly crash occurred at the crossing of Little Mountain and Hampton Roads at around 3:45 p.m. 

The driver of a 2002 Ford pickup truck was reportedly traveling northbound on Little Mountain Road when they collided with a 2002 Buick sedan. The driver of the Buick was attempting to make a turn at the time of impact. The Buick driver was injured and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. 

A 10-year-old child from Inman was riding in the Buick and suffered fatal injuries in the crash. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. No further information has been revealed at this time. 

An ongoing accident investigation is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
