Head-On Collisions in Georgia

Thomasville, GA - Four Hurt in Head-On Collision on US-84According to the Georgia Department of Transportation, head-on collisions occur in one accident out of every ten fatal ones on two-way off-system roads in the state of Georgia. A third of these collisions took place at night, dawn, or dusk. These crashes happened when drivers crossed over into oncoming traffic from their lane.

Justice has not been done when individuals who were not at fault in a serious traffic accident must bear the financial burden of their financial damages. This is particularly true when you take into account how many of these collisions could have been avoided if motorists had been a little bit more cautious. Traffic laws and safety regulations help to ensure that individuals at fault are also held accountable, even though not every driver takes their duty to the road as seriously as they should.

Many people are aware of the costs involved if they or a loved one has ever been in a car accident. The scenario is made worse by the money lost from missed work and the escalating costs of medical care, follow-up appointments, and auto maintenance. However, South Carolina law may require someone else to cover these costs if the car accident was not your fault.
