Stone Mountain, GA (December 27, 2022) – Injuries stemmed from a car accident that took place at an intersection in Stone Mountain on the morning of Tuesday, December 27.

According to Stone Mountain officials, the accident happened around 5:17 a.m. at the intersection of Redan Road and South Hairston Road. Police confirmed that the roads were icy around the intersection when two or more vehicles collided with each other. The involved vehicles were badly damaged as a result of the collision.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more individuals sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.

The roadway was completely blocked in the area of the intersection for some time. This led to delays until the scene was fully cleared.
