Stone Mountain, GA (February 15, 2023) – One or more parties sustained injuries in a car accident that took place at an intersection in Stone Mountain on the morning of Wednesday, February 15.
According to information released by the Atlanta Police, the collision happened around 7:40 a.m. at the intersection of East Ponce De Leon Avenue at the intersection of James B. Rivers Memorial Drive. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to collide. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged and had to be towed away from the scene.
Stone Mountain paramedics and fire crews were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Multiple parties sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not entirely known at this time.
