
Smyrna, GA (March 17, 2023) – A tractor-trailer collision with injuries took place on a highway in Smyrna on the afternoon of Friday, March 17.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened around 2:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-285 around the area of South Atlanta Road (exit 16). Police confirmed that a tractor-trailer was traveling in the area when it slammed into the back of a red sedan due to reasons that are not yet known. The sedan sustained immense damages in the collision.
Smyrna responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more parties sustained injuries as a result of the crash. The injured parties were rushed to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
Two right lanes of traffic were blocked in the area, which led to slight delays until the scene was cleared.
