Each of these crashes has the potential to change the lives of the victims instantly, and even non-fatal crashes have lasting impacts on the victims, their friends and their families.

Young Girl Dies in Georgia Car Crash

AJC reports that a tragic car crash in Barrow County killed a 6-year-old girl. The young girl, who lived in Statham, was a passenger in one of the vehicles that crashed. The driver of the vehicle sustained serious yet non-life threatening injuries in the crash.

Local police say the accident happened in the early evening, when the driver did not yield at a major intersection in Bethlehem. She crashed directly into a large truck. Witnesses on the scene claim that the traffic light was green for both directions, and the sun’s glare may have played a role in blinding the westbound drivers.

The large truck struck the right side of the car. The impact of the crash ejected the child from the vehicle—even though she was wearing a seatbelt at the time.

The driver of the truck did not sustain injuries, and local law enforcement has not announced any charges. The crash closed the road for many hours as emergency workers and officials attended to the scene.

Man Dies in Interstate-75 Crash

The Valdosta Daily Times reports that a crash on I-75 killed a Hahira man. Georgia State Police say they are investigating the crash, which happened in the early hours of Monday morning.

There were four vehicles in the crash: three tractor-trailers and a small sedan. Police say the car crashed into the back of a truck, and then, the truck crashed into the two other vehicles.
