
Sautee Nacoochee, GA (February 28, 2023) – Two people sustained injuries in a serious rollover accident that took place in Sautee Nacoochee on Monday night, February 27.
According to White County officials, the accident happened during the nighttime hours at 7500 GA-356. Police confirmed that a driver was traveling in their vehicle in the area when they suddenly lost control due to reasons that are not yet known. This caused their vehicle to overturn, leading to extensive damages.
Several responders, including White County paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person was trapped inside the rolled vehicle and had to be extricated by fire crews. A total of two people were rushed to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with serious injuries caused by the collision.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes of traffic for some time as police worked to clear the scene.
