Ringgold, GA (March 16, 2023) – A rollover accident with injuries took place at an intersection in Ringgold on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 15.

According to Catoosa County officials, the accident happened at 3 p.m. at the intersection of GA-151 and East Nickajack Road. Police confirmed that a driver was traveling in the area when they suddenly lost control of their vehicle due to reasons that are not yet known. The involved vehicle crashed off the side of the road, overturning.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other Ringgold responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. A total of two people were pulled from the vehicle and sustained injuries. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not entirely known at this time.

The roadway was blocked at the intersection for some time following the accident. This led to extensive delays until police were able to clear the scene.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues. Police will update with any new information as it becomes available.
