Fatal Head-On Collisions in South Carolina
The impact of two cars crashing head-on has the potential to be devastating. These types of collisions are known to result in permanent damage for those involved. It is more than upsetting when a family member passes away suddenly and without warning. An investigation must be started whenever there is even the remotest chance that the death may have been brought on by the carelessness, recklessness, or criminal intent of another person. If a loved one dies in a vehicle accident, you could be eligible to file a claim for compensation against the negligent parties. You could be able to use this to replace the major earner’s income, pay for your funeral and medical expenses, and receive compensation for the emotional distress you’ve experienced because of the loss.
A “wrongful death” is defined by South Carolina law as a death that was caused by someone else’s carelessness, negligence, or conduct of a crime. If the victim was still alive and had been harmed as a result, they should have been given the opportunity to make a claim against the person or business that perpetrated this unlawful act or omission and receive compensation. Our Charleston wrongful death lawyers want to help you recover after a devastating loss.
