Pelzer, SC – Passenger Hurt in Deadly Single-Vehicle Crash at SC-20 & Smith St

Pelzer, SC (October 24, 2022) – A deadly single-vehicle collision was reported in the Pelzer area on Saturday, October 22.
At around 5:15 p.m., the collision took place at the corner of SC-20 and Smith Street. It was reported that a Pontiac Firebird was headed east when it veered off the left side of the road. The vehicle hit an embankment before rolling over.
The driver suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Law enforcement is in charge of the ongoing crash investigation.
