Orangeburg, SC – Zeleria Simpson, Shemyia Riley Die in High-Speed Crash on SC-33
Orangeburg, SC (February 25, 2022) – Two people were killed following a pursuit in the Orangeburg area on Friday morning, February 25. The deadly accident was reported near the intersection of SC-33 and SC-178 shortly after 1 a.m.
Local reports revealed that a trooper saw a sedan speeding on the US-21 Bypass. The driver refused to stop and a chase ensued. The motorist made multiple turns in order to lose the authorities but ultimately crashed into another vehicle.
It was later revealed that Zeleria Simpson and Shemyia Riley were killed in the accident. Three other people were also injured following the crash. No additional information has been provided at this time.
