Orangeburg, SC – Passenger Dies in Single-Vehicle Crash on I-26
Orangeburg, SC (June 7, 2022) – A single-vehicle accident outside of Orangeburg on Tuesday afternoon, June 7, left one person dead and another injured. The fatal crash was reported on Interstate 26 near mile marker 164 at around 3:12 p.m.
Two people were reportedly traveling in a BMW when the vehicle left the roadway. It ventured off the right side of the road where it crashed into multiple trees. The driver was hurt and transported to Regional Medical Center for treatment. The passenger suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the deceased party has not been reported. An ongoing crash investigation is underway.
