12/29 Norman Park, GA – Blake Owens Killed in Fatal ATV Collision on Vickers Bridge Rd

Norman Park, GA (December 29, 2022) – A man was killed following a fatal ATV accident that took place around 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday night, December 27.

According to Georgia State Patrol officials, the accident happened on Vickers Bridge Road around the area of John Vickers Road. Police confirmed that 19-year-old Hannah McClain was driving an ATV in the area when she suddenly lost control due to reasons that are not yet known. This caused the ATV to overturn onto its passenger side, causing the passenger to be ejected.

Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Police confirmed that the passenger, identified as 21-year-old Blake Owens, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. It is not known if anyone else was hurt in the accident.

The area was blocked off for an extended period of time following the crash as police worked to clear the scene. This led to extensive delays until the scene was cleared.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues. Police will update with new information as it becomes available.

We offer our warmest condolences to the family and friends of the victim who lost his life in this accident.
