Myrtle Beach, SC – Update: Cynthia Allaire Dies in Crash at US-17 & Azalea Lakes Blvd
Myrtle Beach, SC (January 2, 2022) – Authorities have released the identity of the person killed following a traffic accident in Myrtle Beach on Friday morning, December 31. The deadly accident took place at the crossing of US-17 and Azalea Lakes Boulevard at around 9:30 a.m.
Local reports indicated that the driver of a 2017 Ford Taurus failed to yield the right of way while turning onto the highway. The Taurus was hit by a 2015 Hyundai sedan. A passenger in the Ford sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash.
Both drivers and a passenger in the Hyundai were hospitalized for treatment of sustained injuries. The deceased victim was later identified as 78-year-old Cynthia Allaire. She was pronounced dead at South Strand ER at around 10:19 a.m.
