Myrtle Beach, SC – One Hurt in Fire at Campground Kings Hwy
Myrtle Beach, SC (January 23, 2022) – A fire at a campground in Myrtle Beach left one person injured on Sunday morning, January 23. The incident took place at the Ocean Lakes Family Campground on Kings Highway at around 6:09 a.m.
A total of 11 units were damaged and 2 destroyed in the blaze. Three people were displaced from their units and required assistance from the American Red Cross. Firefighters and emergency responders were at the scene to render aid to those involved.
One person was treated by paramedics for injuries related to smoke inhalation. No other injuries were reported at the scene.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
