Speeding-Related Crashes in South Carolina

All drivers are more at risk of crashes while they are speeding because it increases stopping distances, reduces response times in the event of approaching vehicles or pedestrians, and reduces driver control. Serious injuries and more significant property damage commonly result from collisions in which at least one vehicle exceeded the speed limit. Over the course of the last 20 years, speeding drivers have been responsible for about one-third of road deaths.
Automobile accidents are still unpleasant and even disastrous events, despite the fact that automakers are installing new safety measures. Recovery typically takes weeks, months, or even years since so few individuals are able to escape such dangerous situations unharmed. Traumatized accident victims frequently have dramatic physical and psychological changes that last a lifetime.
