Monroe, GA (March 17, 2023) – Injuries stemmed from a serious motorcycle accident that took place at an intersection in Monroe on Monday afternoon, March 13.
According to Monroe Police, the accident happened at an unknown time in the afternoon at the intersection of GA-11 and L & P Parkway. Police confirmed that a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle were headed through the intersection at the same time and collided with one another. Both vehicles sustained immense damages in the collision.
Several local responders, including Monroe paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene. The motorcyclist, who has not yet been formally identified, was seriously injured in the accident. The victim was transported to Piedmont Walton for treatment, though their current condition is not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, the intersection was blocked in several lanes for some time. Police worked to clear the scene so traffic could resume as normal.
