McDonough, GA – Update – Fourth Teen Dies from Crash on Oak Grove Rd near Oak Grove Circle


McDonough, GA (May 15, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident that took place in the McDonough area has claimed the life of a fourth victim. According to the Henry County Police Department, at approximately 3:15 p.m., on May 11, emergency crews were dispatched to the site of a crash on Oak Grove Road.

Reports provided by the police show that a collision occurred during the afternoon hours on Oak Grove Road near Oak Grove Circle just 1 mile away from the Eagle’s Landing High School. The vehicle involved in the crash went off the side of the road.

Multiple first responders rushed to the scene to provide assistance to the four teens who were inside the vehicle.

A 16-year-old male and two 15-year-old females have passed away from their injuries and were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Two other victims were rushed to area hospitals for care. Authorities confirmed that a fourth teen, identified as a sixteen-year-old male, has passed away from his injuries.

The fifth victim, a fifteen-year-old female, remains hospitalized.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
