Marion, SC (November 25, 2022) – A Marion County sheriff’s deputy and another driver were hurt following a car accident in Marion on Thursday morning, November 24.
The accident was reported at the intersection of US-501 and Meadowview Road at around 11:15 a.m. A sheriff’s vehicle and a Chevrolet pickup truck were traveling on the highway when the vehicles collided. The deputy was responding to another incident at the time of the crash.
Both drivers were hospitalized for treatment. No additional information has been provided.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in progress.
