Marietta, GA (December 22, 2022) – A pedestrian was killed in a fatal accident that took place last week in Marietta. Police have since identified the pedestrian who lost his life in this accident.
According to Marietta Police, the accident happened around 2:15 a.m. at the intersection of Cobb Parkway and Polytechnic Lane. Police confirmed that a pedestrian was walking in the area when he was suddenly struck by an 81-year-old Lawrenceville man inside a Ford Taurus. The driver of the Ford then fled the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who has since been identified as 36-year-old Brandon Wynn, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. Nobody else was hurt as a result of the accident.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time. Police have not said if the driver will be receiving charges.
No further details have been released, but the investigation into the collision continues.
