Marietta, GA (March 9, 2023) – A dump truck crash with injuries took place on a highway in Marietta on the morning of Thursday, March 9.

According to Marietta Police, the accident happened around 8:22 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-75 around the area of exit 261, Windy Hill Road. Police confirmed that a dump truck was traveling in the area when it was involved in a collision with one or more passenger vehicles. The involved vehicles were extensively damaged in the accident.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. EMS crews were seen helping those who sustained injuries in the accident. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not known at this time.

The roadway was blocked in several lanes of traffic until police cleared the scene. This led to delays until the scene was cleared.
