Car Crashes in Georgia

Marietta, GA - At Least One Hurt in Collision at I-75 & Windy Hill Rd

As per the 2020 statistics, around 70 drivers in Georgia are injured in car accidents every hour, which translates to approximately 1,720 people per day and 600,000 annually. It is estimated that on average, a car accident occurs every 10 years for drivers in Georgia. While accidents may be unpredictable, it’s important to be prepared in case of involvement in one.

After a car accident, the insurance company will contact you to offer a settlement for any claims against them or the other drivers involved. This settlement may include cash compensation. The insurer may offer a small settlement in exchange for a release, in order to reduce costs. However, accepting this release will prevent you from suing for any future damages that may arise.

Individuals who were injured or had their property damaged in an auto accident caused by another driver’s negligence or carelessness may be eligible for financial compensation. However, it is the responsibility of the injured person to prove that the negligent party owed them a duty of care, that this duty was breached, that the breach caused the accident, and that the accident resulted in their injuries. They must demonstrate that the other driver had a duty to take care of them and that this duty was not fulfilled.
