Lithonia, GA (January 9, 2023) – Injuries were reported when a vehicle slammed into a hospital in Lithonia on Monday afternoon, January 9.

According to local officials, the accident happened around 1:30 p.m. at the Emory Hillandale Hospital. Police confirmed that a male driver was traveling in the area when he suddenly lost control of his vehicle due to reasons that are not yet known. His vehicle crashed into the building, causing extensive damages.

Several responders, including local fire crews and paramedics, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The male driver inside the vehicle was rushed to Grady Hospital with injuries. An employee who was working at the hospital at the time was also injured in the accident. They were also hospitalized, though their current condition is not yet known.
