South Carolina Deadly Head-On Collisions
Head-on collisions are more likely to result in fatal injuries than other types of car accidents. These collisions, according to statistics, are among the deadliest on the road, with a fatality rate of over 58 percent. Despite accounting for less than 2% of all reported traffic accidents nationwide, head-on collisions account for more than 10% of all road deaths in the United States each year.
If a loved one was killed in a car accident, you should file a wrongful death claim. A number of complicated rules govern these claims, including who can file a claim and when a wrongful death claim in South Carolina is appropriate. When the at-fault party was the direct cause of the victim’s death, a wrongful death lawsuit is an option. A representative of the deceased should file a claim and attempt to prove the defendant’s negligence with the help of a Laurens car accident lawyer.
