LaFayette, GA – One Injured in House Fire at Henderson St & N Flora St

LaFayette, GA (July 30, 2022) – One person was hurt in a house fire that took place at an intersection in LaFayette on Friday night, July 29.

Walker County officials confirmed that the fire broke out in a home at the intersection of Henderson Street and North Flora Street. Walker County Fire Rescue responders were immediately called to the scene, where they found that smoke was pouring out of a home. They quickly brought the fire under control.

Several local responders, including paramedics, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person who was inside the home at the time of the fire was injured in the fire. They were taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries but are expected to be okay.

The area was blocked off for an extended period of time as fire crews attempted to knock out the fire. This led to delays in traffic in the area.

No further details have been released at this time. Police continue their investigation into the circumstances leading up to the fire.
