Car Accidents in Georgia
In a moment’s notice, a driver could become distracted or fall asleep at the wheel. No matter what leads to an accident, head-on collisions are becoming more and more common throughout Georgia and beyond. Just years ago, only 2.5% of car accidents were deemed head-on collisions. However, in 2020, this rate rose to approximately 4.6% of all car accidents within the entire United States. These accidents are a special concern due to the fact that they lead to some of the most traumatic harm. In fact, about 10% of head-on crashes are fatal. If you have been injured in a head-on collision and know that another party is to blame, you have options.
After a car accident, many individuals are shaken up. The adrenaline is high and they might not be thinking clearly. However, this does not mean that you should not seek medical attention just because you are feeling okay in the moment. There are several steps that you should take right off the bat:
- Contact the authorities about your accident.
- Take photographs and other evidence at the scene.
- Go to the hospital to be checked thoroughly for injuries.
