Deadly Rollover Accidents in South Carolina

Greenville, SC - Update: Jonathan Phillip Panagakos Dies in Rollover on I-185

In a rollover collision, the risk of serious injury is extremely high, and rollover collisions account for a disproportionately high number of national highway fatalities. Rollovers were involved in nearly 35% of traffic deaths in 2010, despite accounting for less than 2% of reported crashes. People who were not restrained caused nearly 69% of rollover fatalities. The number of people killed in these accidents is estimated to be around 7,600.

If a loved one was killed in a car accident, you should file a wrongful death claim. A number of complicated rules govern these claims, including who can file a claim and when a wrongful death claim in South Carolina is appropriate. When the at-fault party was the direct cause of the victim’s death, a wrongful death lawsuit is an option. A representative of the deceased should file a claim and attempt to prove the defendant’s negligence with the help of a Greenville car accident lawyer.
