Car Accidents Reported in South Carolina
Authorities say that more than one-third of all yearly traffic fatalities in the United States may be attributed to careless driving. Common kinds of recklessness include texting while driving and speeding, not to mention drunk driving and reckless driving, like weaving in and out of lanes.

What’s more, the most current South Carolina vehicle accident statistics indicate that a collision may occur anywhere and to anybody. The South Carolina Department of Public Safety (SCDPS) revealed that, in 2015 alone, one out of every 18 licensed drivers in our state, or 5.5% of the total licensed population, was involved in a collision. In 45 of the state’s 46 counties, an accident resulted in at least one fatality.
Needless to say, there are a lot of traffic accidents in South Carolina, and they can be quite expensive for those who are involved in them. As your car is in need of repair, you will be out of commission until it is mended. Meanwhile, a claims adjuster from the at-fault driver’s insurer might contact you during this time, either by phone or in person, to learn more about the circumstances behind your claim.
Unfortunately, these insurance adjusters representing at-fault drivers may find any reason they can to deny your claim or avoid paying the recompense you deserve. But thankfully, anyone who suffers harm as a result of a car accident has the right to file a claim for damages. Parsing out what happened and who is to blame is much easier with the help of a lawyer who specializes in representing clients in cases involving automotive accidents.
