Distracted Driving Accidents in South Carolina

On South Carolina’s streets and major roadways, driver inattention is becoming a serious problem of growing severity. Accidents involving motor vehicles are often the result of driver error; however, there are several other potential causes as well. Whether they were under the influence of drink or drugs, engrossed with their phone, or just not paying attention to their surroundings, these drivers cause the lion’s share of auto accidents we see today.

What’s worse, almost every accident results in significant financial burdens, regardless of its root cause. If you are unable to work due to an injury, you may lose money in addition to having to pay for medical expenditures, the cost of repairing or replacing your car, and other comparable costs. These expenses may jeopardize your existing financial situation and maybe force you and your family to apply for bankruptcy protection. If the accident that caused your injuries was someone else’s responsibility, you shouldn’t be facing the financial difficulties that you are.

Nevertheless, despite the fact that every driver is aware that exceeding the permissible speed limit is illegal, a large proportion of motorists continue to do so. Some drivers believe they do not need to slow down since they have never been involved in an accident caused by another driver’s irresponsible speeding. When others watch them driving, they may assume they are invincible and that they can accelerate with more confidence. These false perceptions minimize the danger that speeding poses to other motorists on the road.
