3/2 Gainesville, GA – Three Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Browns Bridge Rd

Gainesville, GA (March 2, 2023) – At 4:30 p.m. on the afternoon of Monday, February 27, three people sustained injuries in a car accident in Gainesville.

According to Georgia State Patrol officials, the accident happened on Browns Bridge Road at its intersection with Hidden Hill Drive. Police confirmed that 36-year-old Bruce Monson was headed east in his Kia Rio while a 32-year-old man from Kennesaw was driving his Nissan Titan headed west with a passenger. Monson suddenly crossed over into the other lane of traffic, causing it to collide head-on with the Nissan, even though the driver of the Nissan tried to avoid the accident.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were dispatched to the scene. Monson sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident. The other driver and their passenger were also hurt, though their injuries were less severe. All three victims were taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment, though their conditions are not known at this time.

The roadway was blocked near the intersection for some time. This led to delays until the scene was cleared.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision remains ongoing.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the parties who have been hurt as a result of this accident.
