Gainesville, GA – Three Injured in Car Accident on Aviation Blvd

Gainesville, GA (March 17, 2023) – Three people sustained injuries in a car accident that took place in Gainesville on Wednesday afternoon, March 15.
According to Gainesville Police, the accident happened at 3:30 p.m. on Aviation Boulevard around the area of Dorsey Street. Police confirmed that a sports vehicle was traveling in the area when it collided with a minivan due to reasons that are not entirely known. Both vehicles were extensively damaged as a result of the accident.
Several Gainesville responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. There were two occupants in the sports car – a driver and a passenger. Both of the victims were injured and rushed to the hospital in critical condition. The driver of the minivan sustained less severe injuries and is listed in stable condition at the hospital.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked for several hours. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
