Gainesville, GA – Rear-End Crash, Injuries Reported on I-985 at I-85

Gainesville, GA (March 11, 2023) – Injuries reportedly occurred in a serious multi-vehicle collision that took place on a highway in Gainesville on the evening of Saturday, March 11.

According to Gwinnett County officials, the accident happened before 10:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-985 around the area of the I-85 transition. Police confirmed that several vehicles were traveling in the northbound lanes of traffic when they suddenly became involved in a chain-reaction collision due to reasons that are not fully known.

Other local responders, including fire rescue teams and Atlanta-area EMTs, were immediately dispatched to the scene. One or more parties were hurt as a result of the accident. The injured parties were rushed to local hospitals for treatment, though police have not yet verified their conditions.
