Gainesville, GA – Five Injured in Car Crash at GA-53 & Sundance Dr Intersection
Gainesville, GA (November 2, 2022) – Five people sustained injuries in a serious car accident that took place at a Gainesville intersection on Monday morning, October 31.
According to Georgia State Patrol officials, the accident happened around 7:20 a.m. at the intersection of GA-53 and Sundance Drive. Police confirmed that a Chevrolet Colorado was traveling east on the highway when the driver suddenly lost control on the wet road. The driver slammed into a Toyota Camry in the other lane of traffic. The vehicles both sustained severe damage as a result.
Several local responders, including Gainesville paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. A total of five people throughout the vehicles sustained injuries in the accident. Their conditions are not yet known at this time.
The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 19-year-old Honorio Atlahua Temoxtle, was charged with failing to maintain his lane and driving without a license.
