Fort Oglethorpe, GA (March 14, 2023) – Two vehicles were involved in an injury accident that took place at a Fort Oglethorpe intersection on Tuesday, March 14.

According to Catoosa County officials, the accident happened before 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Battlefield Parkway and Fort Town Drive. Police confirmed that two vehicles were traveling in the area when they simultaneously entered the intersection, causing them to collide with one another. The involved vehicles were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more parties were hurt in the accident and had to be treated at the scene by EMS crews. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.

A large portion of the road was blocked at the intersection for a period of time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.

The investigation into the collision remains ongoing. Police will update with new information as it is available.
