Enigma, GA – Boy Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Accident at Paradise Public Fishing Area

Enigma, GA (February 2, 2023) – Around 7:45 p.m. on the evening of Saturday, January 28, a boy was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident in Enigma. According to Georgia State Patrol officials, the accident happened in the area of the Paradise Public Fishing Area. Police confirmed that two teens were riding on top of a vehicle in the area when they were on a fishing trip. The teens fell out of the vehicle, which stopped after running over one of the teens.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other Berrien County responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. The 15-year-old boy, who was run over, was rushed to the hospital with traumatic injuries but was tragically pronounced dead while there. The other teen, identified as a 16-year-old boy, sustained a skull fracture and was also hospitalized.

Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the area was blocked off following the accident. It is not known if the driver of the involved vehicle is going to receive charges for their role in the accident.

No further details have been released at this time. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
