Douglasville, GA – Daniel Cardenas Killed in Motorcycle Crash on S Burnt Hickory Rd
Douglasville, GA (October 10, 2022) – Around 10:24 p.m. on Saturday night, October 8, a man was killed in a fatal motorcycle accident in Douglasville.
According to Douglas County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of South Burnt Hickory Road and Newman Ellis Road. Police confirmed that a motorcyclist was traveling south on South Burnt Hickory while a GMC Yukon was headed north. The Yukon started to make a left turn when it collided with the motorcyclist.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other Douglasville responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The motorcyclist, identified as 22-year-old Daniel Cardenas, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. One other party was rushed to the hospital and also pronounced dead. He has since been identified as 53-year-old Robert Young.
