Decatur, GA – Woman Injured in Pedestrian Accident on Scott Blvd 

Decatur, GA (November 21, 2022) – Around 6 a.m. on the morning of Thursday morning, November 17, a woman was injured in a Decatur pedestrian accident. 

According to DeKalb County Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Scott Boulevard and Blackmon Drive. Police confirmed that an adult female in her 40s was walking in the area when she suddenly walked across the street, causing her to become struck by a passenger vehicle. The driver of the vehicle immediately stopped and remained at the scene. 

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were immediately called to the scene to help those in need. The woman sustained critical injuries as a result of the accident. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment, though her condition is not entirely known at this time. Nobody else was injured in the collision. 

The roadway was blocked at the intersection for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene so traffic could resume as normal.
