Decatur, GA (January 1, 2023) – Authorities throughout Decatur responded to the side of a traffic accident that took place on Friday evening that resulted in injuries. At around 9:40 p.m., on December 30, the police and firefighters were called to a crash that occurred on Interstate 285.

Reports provided by the Georgia Department of Transportation indicate that a traffic wreck had caused severe disruptions in two lanes on the southbound side of Interstate 285. The incident blocked the road near Glenwood Road, Georgia State Route 260,I don’t know at exit 44.

The Georgia Highway Patrol responded to the scene of the accident to assist firefighters in Decatur.

Medics were called to provide care to injured victims and transport them to local medical facilities following the crash.

The Georgia Highway Patrol is currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
