Dallas, GA – Woman Dies in Mobile Home Fire Near Hiram-Acworth Hwy

Dallas, GA (April 23, 2022) – One woman died on Friday evening, April 23, after a mobile home fire broke out in the Dallas area.

According to Paulding County Fire and Rescue, firefighters were called out to the scene just before 8:30 p.m., near the intersection of Hiram-Acworth Highway (Route 92) and Due West Road.

Investigators said a family member called and told them an elderly woman might be at the residence and would be unable to escape on her own.

Paulding County Fire Department rescue crews arrived a few minutes later and knocked down the blaze, but found the woman trapped under debris inside. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators from the State of Georgia’s Fire Marshall’s office are still looking into the cause of the fire and have not provided further details at this time.

We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased victim.
