Cowpens, SC (December 3, 2022) – On Friday, December 2, a truck collision occurred near Cowpens, not far from the Anderson interchanges, and casualties were reported.
The incident occurred at around 5:15 a.m. on southbound Interstate 85.
A passenger car and a tractor-trailer were involved in an accident, and the latter is said to have overturned as a consequence of the incident. When first responders arrived, all lanes of traffic were blocked. Authorities added that one of the victims was seriously hurt and had to be hospitalized, though their current condition is not known.
The cause behind the accident is now being looked into.
