Conyers, GA (March 9, 2023) – Around 12:13 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, March 9, an ambulance accident happened on a major roadway in Conyers.

According to Conyers Police, the accident happened on GA-138 near another intersection that has not yet been named. Police confirmed that an ambulance was on its way to a call and had its lights and sirens activated. Another vehicle in the area failed to yield to the ambulance, causing both vehicles to collide. The ambulance flipped over in the middle of the intersection, and the passenger vehicle sustained immense front-end damage.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. A total of four people sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.

The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time after the accident. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
