Car Accidents in Georgia
Every month, hundreds of people in Georgia are hospitalized with serious injuries following car crashes. These accidents often leave victims with spinal cord injuries, severe compound fractures, and other injuries that require medical care.
Various acts of negligence continue to contribute to the number of accidents that take place in Georgia every year. Some of the most common causes of these accidents include:
- Distractions: When drivers are not paying attention to the road ahead, they can cause serious injuries that have devastating consequences for others. Distractions are some of the leading causes of crashes that take place. Unfortunately, countless people are texting, talking to others, or even eating while behind the wheel.
- Running red lights: When drivers run through red lights without stopping, they risk the lives of other people traveling to the intersection. Unfortunately, we see many people cause severe accidents that result in devastating injuries for those involved due to their failure to stop at intersections.
- Failing to yield: when drivers fail to yield the right-of-way to other motorists, they can crash into them and cause serious injuries. We see many people hurt as a result of car crashes caused by drivers who fail to yield while switching lanes, turning intersections, or even pulling out of driveways.
