Fatal Motorcycle Crashes in South Carolina

Charleston, SC - Patrick Marrah, Taylor Flowers Killed in Pileup Crash on James Island Expy

There were 215,957 motorcycle riders registered to ride in the state of South Carolina in 2019, according to the SCDMV. That is an increase of around 23,000 over 2018. The value of safe driving and riding practices is amplified by the sheer number of individuals who enjoy South Carolina’s pleasant climate and wide-open highways on two wheels. Sadly, accidents involving bikers still result in fatalities and serious injuries.

Motorcycles are a thrilling and time-saving mode of transportation in South Carolina, but users should be aware that they also present a significant danger. Motorcyclists are at a disadvantage while traveling on roads where there are also numerous passenger vehicles and trucks. In the case of a collision, the smaller size of their vehicles and the relative absence of any protection they provide is a formula for tragedy.

You are entitled to financial compensation if an accident that you were involved in was caused by the carelessness, recklessness, or deliberate actions of another motorist. Accidents are caused by drivers of automobiles much too often because they neglect to share the road with motorcyclists and drive in a hostile or careless manner.

The lawyers at Monge & Associates will tenaciously protect your basic rights to make sure that you and your family get the compensation you are entitled to. To ensure that those responsible for the horrific atrocities are brought to justice, we will make every effort.
