South Carolina Reckless Driving Crashes

Charleston, SC - I-26 & Rutledge Ave Site of Collision with Injuries

The worst car accidents in the nation occur every year in South Carolina. When it comes to the incidence of fatal auto accidents caused by careless or excessive speeding, the state came in second place nationally last year. The Palmetto State and Montana have consistently tied for third place when it comes to the percentage of risky drivers on the road. Other drivers’ actions have the potential to result in deadly collisions and endanger other people’s lives.

Most individuals are aware of the regular costs associated with being involved in a serious traffic accident. These expenses might be applied to things like paying for auto repairs, making up for missed wages, or getting medical care. The scenario becomes much more challenging to resolve when one considers the amount of money lost due to missed work, in addition to the rising costs of medical care, subsequent travel, and other losses connected to your injury.

Anyone who was harmed or lost property in a vehicle accident due to the negligence or carelessness of another driver is entitled to compensation. The victim must show that the negligent party owed them a duty of care, that this duty was breached, that the breach led to the accident, and that the accident actually resulted in damage. Or, to put it another way, it is up to the victim to prove that the party who was at fault owed them a duty of care.
