Chamblee, GA (March 14, 2023) – At 4:30 p.m. on the evening of Tuesday, March 14, a truck crash took the life of one person in Chamblee.
According to Chamblee Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Shallowford Road and Dresden Drive near the area of Dresden Elementary School. Police confirmed that a truck, a minivan, and a passenger vehicle collided with each other in the area. One of the vehicles allegedly attempted to make a turn and crossed into another lane of traffic, leading to the multi-vehicle collision. The involved vehicles were badly damaged, and debris was left scattered all over the road in the area.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person, who has not yet been formally identified, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Three others sustained injuries as a result of the collision.
A large portion of the road was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
No further details have been released, but the investigation into the collision continues.
