Cartersville, GA (February 8, 2023) – At 7:23 a.m. on the morning of Wednesday, February 8, a car accident with injuries took place on a major highway in Cartersville.
According to Cartersville Police, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-75 around the area of Emerson-Allatoona Road (exit 283). The involved vehicles were badly damaged as a result of the crash.
Several responders, including Cartersville paramedics and EMS crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hurt in the accident. The injured parties, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
The right lane of traffic was blocked in the area for some time, which led to delays until police cleared the scene.
