Buford, GA (January 23, 2023) – One person was killed in a train crash that took place in Buford on the morning of Sunday, January 22.
According to Gwinnett County officials, the accident happened on the railroad tracks at the cross of Shadburn Ferry Road. Police confirmed that an Amtrak train was headed in the area where Waterworks Road crosses the tracks with Shadburn. All of a sudden, it collided with a passenger vehicle on the tracks due to reasons that are not yet known. The train immediately came to a stop following the collision.
