Wrong-Way Collisions in Georgia
Every year, a disproportionate number of individuals must experience the tragic realities and consequences of automobile accidents throughout Georgia and beyond. Hundreds of thousands of traffic accidents occur annually in Georgia as a result of numerous drivers’ negligence or carelessness behind the wheel, particularly when it comes to wrong-way wrecks.
In fact, the Georgia Department of Transportation’s most recent traffic statistics indicates that by the time the data for 2021 and 2022 are completed and analyzed, there will have been over 330,000 automobile accidents in Georgia alone. Moreover, despite a decrease in traffic during our state’s pandemic, the increasing trend of increasing road accidents persisted.
As a consequence of these events, 125,000 people were injured, and 1,500 were killed. Due to dangerous habits such as texting while driving, drunk driving, and other dangers on our roads, vehicle accidents disproportionately negatively impact victims and their families.
