Atlanta, GA - Victims Hurt in Vehicle Crash on I-675 at Forest Pkwy

Atlanta, GA (November 20, 2022) – A serious rear-end collision occurred on a major road in the Atlanta area on the evening of Sunday, November 20.

There was a collision involving two cars and another vehicle on southbound I-675, right before the entrance to the Forest Parkway. The other vehicle, a box truck, caught fire. Preliminary reports suggest that two cars collided in the center and right lanes of the road around 8:30 p.m.

The accident caused the route to be closed for a whole hour. As a result of the severe damage both vehicles had incurred, they were both taken off the premises.

Atlanta’s fire rescue units and EMTs rushed to the area to aid the injured, though their current conditions were not made available.

The investigation into today’s accident is ongoing.

Our thoughts and best wishes for a full recovery go out to the injured victims.

Rear-End Collisions in the Atlanta Area

Rear-end collisions continue to be the most prevalent type of car accident in Georgia and the rest of the country, and they are responsible for an increasing number of fatalities and injuries each year. More than half of all car accidents in Georgia are rear-end crashes, sometimes known as “fender benders,” according to state statistics.

An accident of this type can still result in serious bodily harm or death, even if it occurs at a slower pace. In addition to broken bones and spinal cord injuries, all of these are potentially deadly outcomes for persons engaged in accidents.

Rear-end collisions accounted for at least 9 percent of all traffic fatalities in the prior year. No matter how severe your injuries are or what caused the accident, it is crucial that you act swiftly to protect your legal rights.

The physical limitations you now have to live with after an accident may be difficult to adjust to at first. Regardless of the severity of your injuries, you could still end up in financial trouble from unpaid medical bills and lost wages if you have to miss work. And the mental and emotional consequences of enduring a crash due to another driver’s carelessness can be devastating, to say the least.
